The View at Zero Dark Thirty

Actually, this was taken at about one o’clock this morning. But it was close enough to Zero Dark Thirty that the difference doesn’t really matter.

It’s the view from my garage as I was waiting for my car to warm up before leaving for work.

It was cold.

The kind of brutal, deep freeze that shocks your body, takes your breath away and makes the hair in your nose stiffen in protest.

And, I was faced with an icy, 90-minute drive from my West Virginia home to my gig in Washington, D.C.
